Should I Drive With Cruise Control In The Rain?
Driving with cruise control in wet weather is a big no-no. We hear about a lot of accidents on our roads in wet or icy weather. And a lot of people don't know why it happened.
Then comes the question, were you driving with cruise control on?
You should never drive in the rain with your cruise control on, the reason for this is if you are travelling along at a high speed with your cruise control on in wet weather. Your tires are most likely to lose contact with the pavement causing you to hydroplane and take off like an aeroplane.
Your car will accelerate to a higher speed, anywhere up to 10 - 15 miles per hour faster then the speed set on your cruise control. You will not have much, if any control over your vehicle.
Do not travel in wet weather with cruise control on, its not worth it.
